Guard - Daniel M - will

Objections to the probate of the will of the late Daniel M. Guard were filed Monday in the office of the county clerk by the heirs, Louise Knox, Forrest Guard, Max DeVault, a minor and Jack DeVault, a minor by Leo DeVault their "next friend," through Attorneys Vaughan & Vaughan of Lafayette. The plaintiffs set out that they are the sole and only heirs of Mr. Guard who died June 1. They object to the probate of any last will. The real estate and personal property in White County are set out as of the probably value of $55,000.  The objectors ask the court not to admit to probate but to continue the matter of the probate to the next term of the court. The parties were ordered by Judge Russell Gordon to file formal complaint to resist the probate of the will.
